Why some full-arch cases need a tailored plan
All on x dental implants perth exists because a full arch does not always fit one fixed pattern. Bone quality and jaw structure differ from patient to patient, and a standard implant count can suit one case and fall short in another.
That variation grows with age. The Australian Institute of Health and Welfare’s *National Study of Adult Oral Health 2017-18* found complete tooth loss rises from 1.1% at ages 35 to 54, to 8.1% at 55 to 74, to 21% at 75 and over. The more advanced that tooth loss is, the wider the range of bone conditions a clinician is likely to be assessing, and the more that case tends to benefit from a plan built around the assessment rather than assumed in advance.

All-on-X is a full-arch, implant-supported bridge using a tailored number of implants, commonly 4 to 8, based on what your case is assessed to need. It is not a fixed protocol like All-on-4, it is a planning approach: bone density, jaw structure and how the teeth were lost all factor into how many implants your case is planned with.
That flexibility exists for a reason. Some patients have plenty of strong bone and are well suited to a standard implant count. Others need more implants, or a different arrangement, to get a full-arch bridge that holds up the way it should.
All-on-X starts with an assessment, and the number of implants follows from what that assessment finds.

All-On-X
All-on-X cases are commonly planned with 4, 5, 6, or more implants, up to 8 in more complex presentations, depending on bone quality, jaw structure and the extent of tooth loss. There is no set number we plan toward before your assessment; the range exists because cases genuinely differ.
More implants generally means the load of a full-arch bridge is spread further across the arch. Your assessment, not a standard formula, decides where in that range your case sits, and that is set out in your treatment plan before anything is placed.

Neither option is better on its own. The right one is the one your assessment supports, and that decision is made with your clinician, not decided before you walk in.

Can All-on-X be completed in a single visit?
Same-day treatment depends on what your assessment supports, the same as it does for any full-arch case. For cases where bone quality and healing conditions allow it, implants can be placed and a temporary bridge fitted in one visit, in many cases, with the final bridge to follow once healing is complete.
This is never assumed for every patient. Your clinician confirms whether it applies to your case before you commit to a timeline.

Complex tooth loss becoming urgent?
Complex or advanced tooth loss does not always follow a predictable timeline. A sudden infection or a failing tooth can turn into an emergency dentistry visit, particularly in cases where a standard 4-implant plan may not be assumed to fit. Once stabilised, that visit can move into All-on-X assessment.

All-on-X pricing: what is published, and what is quoted individually
All-on-x dental implants cost varies with how many implants your case needs, and we set that out honestly rather than implying one price fits every case. Cases assessed at four to six implants fall within our published All-on-X package: $21,990 per arch, completed with a zirconia bridge and a titanium bar where your case requires one.
Cases needing more than six implants, or a configuration outside the standard package, are quoted individually. We tell you which one applies before you commit.
