Dental Implants

People of all ages are affected by missing teeth, whether through trauma or the ageing process. Dental implants replace single or multiple teeth to restore the look and function of your smile and mouth. Dental implants are a biocompatible titanium fixture which are placed in the jaw to fuse with the jaw bone, a process known as osseointegration, allowing the implant to act as an anchor to support a fixed prosthesis such as a crown or bridge or a removable prosthesis (overdenture). Dental implants are the gold standard of treatment in replacing single or multiple missing teeth providing a high rate of success provided oral hygiene is maintained with regular dental check-ups.
